Clothing Patterns: Hippies & Cowgirls

I have really taken to making clothing patterns at the Able Sisters.

It started a little while back with Tiffany, but now I think I have a much better handle on it!
I have been using both patterns from Wendell (the starving artist) as well as making them from scratch and well - I have made some pretty GREAT outfits!

The first really awesome one I have to show you is - The Cowgirl Pattern

The Cowgirl Pattern is a combo of a plaid pattern I picked up from Wendell, which I used for the shirt - the rest I made up on my own (blue/denim skirt & Brown belt with gold belt buckle). I bought the hat (Outback Hat) from The Able Sisters, which was the perfect touch!

The second pattern I have to show is Hippie Fringe Pattern:

This pattern was made completely from scratch & is also seen on the right side of the photo on the store mannequin.
I am super proud of this one - it actually inspired me to start a Hippie line of clothing patterns.

The Hippie Fringe Pattern, is a blue tunic with a brown fringed vest.
It also includes 2 beaded necklaces and is accompanied with the knit hat which was bought from the Able Sisters.

I'll be posting all my fashion patterns as I make them, so keep your eyes peeled for more soon!
If you are interested in trading patterns, hit me up for a friend code and we'll schedule a swap meet!

New Resident: Sydra

I decided that I didn't have enough room in Tiffany's house to put all the furniture sets and whatnot in, so I brought her a new neighbor, by the name of Sydra.

I used up all of Tiffany's savings to push the home renovations along as quickly as possible, so Sydra now has a full 2 story home with a basement.

The main room, is decorated in the complete Gracie Set.

The basement is in the process of becoming the kitchen, including the Green Set.

The 2nd level is currently decorated in the incomplete classic set. Technically, the 2nd floor room is not large enough for the classic set, so this will most likely change. If I could find a damn toilet, I would make this room a bathroom, but we'll see as time goes on...

Nookingtons - Current Town Store

Munroe's current store is Nookingtons, the best store in my opinion.
Its stays open late and has lots of stuff in it, including a second floor just for home decor.

I didn't really think having Nookingtons was that big of a deal, but I ended up downgrading to the Nookway for a few weeks, just for fun, and I hated it!

I am keeping my Nookingtons.

* Nook's Cranny - Nooks Cranny is the original store Tom Nook owns in the beginning. It has next nothing in it and is very small.
* Nook N' Go - The first upgrade Tom Nook's store undergoes. It has later hours and a few more spaces for items.
* Nookway - The second upgrade Tom Nook's store undergoes. It has reasonable hours and even more space for various items.
* Nookington's - The third and final upgrade Tom Nook's store undergoes. This store has a good balance of all of the items.

The only part of Nookingtons I hate, are the two lil racoons who run the upstairs.
They are annoying and will actually corner me in the store so I have no choice but to push them out of my way. This - and the fact that one alwasy finishes the end of the others sentence - DRIVES me.
I feel like putting it on mute everytime I go upstairs.

Town Fund - 3rd Bridge, Fountain & Lighthouse

I have been working really hard lately on contributing to the town fund in order to gain some extra pretty things for Munroe. I had already procured the 3rd bridge, much earlier in the game, which I positioned right outside Tiffany's house, but prospects of a fountain & a lighthouse kept me working diligently.

It didn't take me as long as I had thought to get both the lighthouse and the fountain - but I am glad that its done.

To get a 3rd Bridge, Lighthouse/ Windmill & Fountain, you must donate the following to your town fund:

A new bridge built in town -  Donate 200,000 Bells
A fountain built in town  -  Donate 400,000 Bells
A windmill or a lighthouse built in town -  Donate 1,000,000 Bells

Festivale - Pave Set

Recently I had the pleasure of having Pave visit my town for Festivale.
I quickly released that the furniture that he gives you for bringing him the correct kind of candy is pretty valuable...

* Pavé Bed (12,000 Bells)
* Pavé Bookshelf (12,000 Bells)
* Pavé Bureau (12,000 Bells)
* Pavé Chair (12,000 Bells)
* Pavé Chest (12,000 Bells)
* Pavé Closet (12,000 Bells)
* Pavé End Table (12,000 Bells)
* Pavé Floor (1,800 Bells)
* Pavé Lamp (12,000 Bells)
* Pavé Sofa (12,000 Bells)
* Pavé Table (12,000 Bells)
* Pavé Wall (1,800 Bells)
* Pavé Clock (Distributed Item only, February 2010)

I managed to acquire the entire set. I sold all the double 's to help with the on going process of paying off my house in full.

Its not exactly the best looking set, but I wanted to see how it all looked together.

I traded the Pave set for the Exotic set quite quickly, but I am glad I got to see what this set looked like in its entirety, beofore I sold it off to help pay off Tiffany's mortgage.

Tiffany's House

The pride and joy of my Animal Crossing Character is her home...
She has the largest house you get in City Folk and all 3 floors are only a few pieces off from having full sets.

Getting the house this large was quite a feat, considering I didn't have any exotic fruits from other towns.

Here is a break don of the cost of your Animal Crossing: City Folk home...
  • Normal House - 19,800 Bells
  • First Expansion - 120,000 Bells
  • Second Expansion - 248,000 Bells
  • Third Expansion - 368,000 Bells
  • Fourth (Final) Expansion - 598,000 Bells

As it stands now, Tiffany's home is 3 floors. The main level is furnished in the Gracie Grace "Gorgeous Set". The only piece of the set missing is a writing desk. I didn't make it into the store before the desk was "sold out"at the end of the season.

Also featured in this room that is NOT part of the Gorgeous Set:

- Fishing Tournement Trophy
- The Bug Off Trophy
- Two Gyroids
- Chocolate Heart Valentine
- Lucky frog
- Golden Chair (Gift from Nintendo)
- Potted tree

The upstairs is furnished in the the complete Gracie Grace "Princess Set".  At first i didn't think all the pieces would fit, but they do:) The HRA seemed to be pleased with this layout.

Also featured in this room that is NOT part of the Gorgeous Set:

- Potted Jacobs Ladder
- Box of Tissues (deposited 100,000 bells in the bank)

The basement is furnished in the "Exotic Set". I have been trying to get this complete set ever since i started playing Animal Crossing back on the DS. Currently, the room is missing the exotic wall, the exotic bureau & the exotic bed.

Also featured in this room that is NOT part of the Gorgeous Set:

- Town Hall Model
- Nook's Cranny Model
- Birthday Cake (received on character's birthday)
- Birdcage
- plant (proper name unknown at this time)
- Rubber Tree
- Hi Fi Stereo

I really want to save these sets, so I have made a new character in the game who goes by the name of Sydra - I am in the process of building her home now - to house any new sets I wish to complete.
